Oaklands Historic Museum

Your browser may not support display of this image.Once the center of a 1500-acre plantation, Oaklands was the home of the Maney family. The house was built in four phases over a 40-year period; Oaklands was eventually transformed into an Italianate mansion with the fourth and final addition in 1857 just a few years before the beginning of the Civil War. During the Civil War, the Maneys were hosts to both Union and Confederate Armies. The home was the site of Forrest's Raid and Jefferson Davis, visit both in 1862.

Hours:
Tuesday - Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.Sunday, 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Closed Mondays, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
Admission:
$7.00 for adults, $6.00 for Senior Citizens and AAA, $5.00 for children 6-17, Children 5 and under- Free $5.00 for students with a college ID
